Hello, friends. Hopefully your year isn’t ending in a leaky, sideways tumble.

I was just now kickin’ it in my underwater lair when I got the idea to designate a bunch of my old comic books as “out of print.” I know, I should have warned you, but those are the proverbial breaks. It may not be forever, but for now Seafood, trilobite, Twilight of the Sea Cow, Pancakes Solve Nothing and Deadly Combo are out of print and not for sale. I still have plenty of copies of all three issues of Water Column, so go ahead and order bunches of that one.

Notice this: I started adding new comics and drawings to my NBA art blog, Garbage Time All-Stars. I started a new feature there entitled Boxed Out: 4-panel comics recapping games, one panel per quarter. I post these within hours of a game’s completion to ensure the fresh hotness of the comics. Here’s an example, and more can be seen at GTAS.

Otherwise, you can continue to hear me talk about new comics and be combative with cartoonist pals Rina Ayuyang and Thien Pham on recent episodes of their podcast The Comix Claptrap. That’s all I got for now.

Not much new to report but I’ve got some stuff simmering, soon to be spilled in your lap. Meanwhile …

I’m happy to say that Water Column 3, the dead fish issue, has been nominated for an Ignatz Award in the category of Outstanding Mini-Comic! Exciting! The Ignatz is a festival prize awarded at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Maryland. See the full list of awesome Ignatz nominees here.
